Does anyone subscribe to the new scientist ?

Nige I am afraid not, for New Scientist is very expensive these days. That said, I have a physical copy of the previous one…..but not the one you’re after. Apologies.

Didn’t think about this until you just asked that question but you can get New Scientist through Libby which is free. It’s like a library app, if you’re not aware, all you need is a library card. It’s quite good.

Eeek, can’t find my library card. Not been seen since before the stroke…. Where is it?

You can always pop into your local library and get a new one. That’s what I did 😄👍

But I will need to go to my old job at Bath Uni, for their library issued the card. As far as I know the library there is independent of the standard council-funded system. However, the card remains valid despite retiring since the stroke. I’ll have another look first, otherwise it will be (for me) about an hour’s trip on the bus, although that is now free!

Don’t you have a local council library nearby? Ours is actually run by volunteers now. But if you do have any library nearby you will be able to get a library card. But definitely have a Google first to check ✔🤞

Ruthy I’ll give it a go, but I’ll need to check where the local one is now! They closed the one about a mile away a few years ago. Many thanks for the ideas.
