Nige, how have you personally got on with or without some of these things? Many good ideas - thank you. I am thinking about sweeteners, creatine, margarine, rosemary…. As Simon says, some of these seem to be an easy thing to do compared with what can be a hard grind with daily exercises. Unless you are an athlete or musician, the required persistence can be very hard to maintain on a daily, weekly, monthly basis and so on, as it is not really a part of one’s mindset naturally unless one has a serious focus. Diet certainly plays a role, even with the reversal of the effects of stroke. And if you are habitually eating fatty and/or sweet foods then there’s got to be trouble ahead. To be honest, I used to eat a lot of Cadburys with the occasional Galaxy as a treat, both of which contain fats and sugar. Forget Death by Chocolate, which is for wimps (allegedly), for I had what could be termed Total Genocide by Chocolate! Now I can derive sweet tastes even from an 85% chocolate. Yep, I am a chocoholic, and I always will be!
