Weird side effects to medication

I upped my anti depressant pain medicine yesterday. On 60mg of duloxetine before, now on 80mg.
One of the side effects with it or possible side effects, is hearing sounds or seeing things that don’t exist. Perhaps one of the more unusual side effects I have come across. Usual tiredness amongst the others.
I’m stood next to the hob yesterday in my kitchen. It wasn’t on.
I hear this loud buzzing sound, like there is a really massive hornet somewhere near by or in the cooker hood or pipe leading to the outside.. I’m looking around and I can’t see anything and then it stopped. Maybe at most 5-10 secs.

Bit of an unsettling incident as you can imagine. 1 other sound incident as well with the sounds of kids when none about but not as odd as the hornet.

There’s no end to the gifts a stroke bestows 🙁

Lea & I have colds at the moment. With the affects of stroke a simple cold wipes me out now.

I’ve one nostril that post stroke is always running. With the cold it’s now a fire hose! Aches in legs & back that I’m wondering if the statins plus cold are combining to each make the whole worse

Duloxetine ruined my life .. number of articles from the US on this.
Further to my audible hallucinations, I had one visual one as well. My TV screen was off, sat with my wife and daughter, I could see a series of blue stars across the screen, as though I was looking into space.
Suffice it to say, that increase has quickly been dropped.

Cymbalta (duloxetine) side effects when taken long term can include:
Addiction
Dependence
Seizures
Suicidal thoughts or behaviors
Mania, hypomania
Jaundice
Liver failure
Abnormal bleeding, especially when NSAIDs or aspirin are taken concurrently
Severe renal impairment
Urinary hesitation, and retention
Hyponatremia (low sodium levels in the blood)
Severe weight gain
Cardiotoxicity issues: tachycardia, QT prolongation, blood pressure issues
Brain fog
Agitation
Fatigue
Low sex drive
Constipation
Diarrhea

No worries

the cafe is actually today on Thursday and next Thursday etc
and there is never any pressure to attend or to stay for longer than is comfortable
and arrival can be at any time although most folk tend to be between 1:00 and 2:00 there are certainly those of us who are still around between 2:00 and a lot later
