Courtesy of the old job, I am rarely drawn on things political, but the following struck me after we saw the white smoke in Vatican city. America is now represented by two major individuals. One of them is loud, brash, apparently advantages the billionaires and is a thug; he represents only 350 million people. The other is quiet, humble, has mixed with the poor and needy; he represents 1400 million people. Power politics? We’ll see how things pan out over the coming months and years….
